WW1 USA 1917 Pattern Remington Bayonet & Scabbard
A 1917 pattern bayonet and scabbard. The blade retains its profile, whilst the ricasso is marked 1917 Remington & the other side bares the flaming grenade ordnance logo above US and the number 12. Bayonet catch is in good working order. The leather scabbard remains supple, whilst the 'mouthpiece' and 'ferrule' have some surface rust. I have left it in its original found state but should clean ... read more

The front of the buckle retains nearly all of the original plated finish. The “victory rune” emblem of the DJ was not plated so that it clearly stood out against the nickel silver. The makers mark may be covered by the thick nickel... read more
WW2 French Water Canteen - Patriotically Painted
A wonderful unique artefact being a standard French Army canteen (Gourd) having been patriotically painted, with the tricolour & French fighting cock astride a broken Swastika on the back. There is the remnants of a typed paper label to the front, which roughly translated is toasting the hero's and freedom of France. I would presume this would have been painted during or just after the liberati... read more
