The Pilots Notes General is a 2nd edition dated 1943. The Pilots Flying Log Sheet belongs to Lindsey. G. FX 705482 (Flying Instructor) part of 29 E.F.T.S. The log contains the names of several RAF officers. Comes with two photographs dated 1914 & 1915 found inside the book. This would benefit from further investigation. read more

WW2 MkII RCAF Decled Helmet CL/C 1942
A Canadian MkII CL/C 1942 dated helmet complete with liner marked VMC 1941 size 7 3/4. The helmet appears to be a very dark blue/green colour with an RCAF decal applied to the front. read more

I have not seen or come across such a helmet before. This is 'possibly' a helmet belonging to a member of the RCAF ground crew trained under the Commonwealth Air Training Program (BCAPT) established in 1940. Many of the RCAF units serving in the UK embarked for France within a month or two of Normandy landings, setting up and operating bases within France.
